Bakery Style Chocolate Chunk Cookies

These cookies are delightfully soft and chewy, filled with rich, melty chocolate chunks. A perfect blend of sweetness and a touch of salt delivers that irresistible, freshly-baked flavor you can only get from a top-notch bakery.
Makes: 20 cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • cups chopped chocolate + more for top

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, beat together butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  • Add your choice of chopped chocolate— I used Kinder Chocolate cut into 1/4″ pieces. Mix the   into the cookie dough.
  • Shape approx. 60 grams of cookie dough into tall balls and place on your prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until a light golden brown. Be careful not to over bake them!
  • Remove from oven and immediately press in the chocolate to the top of each cookie. Allow another 10 minutes on the tray before removing to a cooling rack.
  • Enjoy warm with a glass of milk! These will keep fresh for up to a week in an airtight container at room temperature!
