Bakery Style Chocolate Chunk Cookies

These cookies are delightfully soft and chewy, filled with rich, melty chocolate chunks. A perfect blend of sweetness and a touch of salt delivers that irresistible, freshly-baked flavor you can only get from your favorite bakery.

These cookies are my absolute go-to whenever I want a treat that feels like a hug. I love how soft and chewy they are, with those big, gooey chocolate chunks that just melt in your mouth. The best part? That perfect hint of salt. It’s like the sweet and salty combo hits all the right spots. Every time I bake them, the house smells amazing, and I can’t resist sneaking one (or three) while they’re still warm. It feels like I’ve brought a little piece of my favorite bakery into my kitchen. Honestly, I’m always so excited to share them, but I secretly hope there’ll be enough left for me to snack on later!

Let’s Get Baking!

Preheat oven to 375F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone mat and set aside. In a medium bowl, beat together butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Add your choice of chopped chocolate— I used Kinder Chocolate cut into 1/4″ pieces. Mix the   into the cookie dough. Shape approx. 60 grams of cookie dough into tall balls and place on your prepared cookie sheets. Bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until a light golden brown. Be careful not to over bake them! Remove from oven and immediately press in the chocolate to the top of each cookie. Allow another 10 minutes on the tray before removing to a cooling rack. Enjoy warm with a glass of milk! These will keep fresh for up to a week in an airtight container at room temperature!
