Preheat the oven to 350F.
Do NOT cut off the crown. Cut the pineapple in to quarters lengthwise. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the hard pineapple core off from each quarter and discard.
Make about 9-10 cuts on each pineapple quarter, making each piece a little less than ½" thick. Run the knife between the flesh and the pineapple skin until the pieces come loose. Slide the pieces in opposite directions. Transfer to a baking sheet and set aside.
In a small saucepan, add the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove powder, nutmeg powder, and salt. Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved and everything is combined.
Brush about a third of the brown sugar mixture on to the pineapple pieces. Bake for 5 minutes. Brush half of the remaining brown sugar mixture on to the pineapple pieces and return to the oven for another 5 minutes. Brush the remaining brown sugar mixture on to the pineapple pieces and bake for the final 5 minutes. (A total of 15 minutes).
Remove from the oven and serve warm!
