Salsa and Smoky Shrimp Tacos

These soft tacos are bursting with flavors from the tanginess of the salsa to the smoky richness of the shrimp, you'll be craving these daily!

Ingredients
  

Salsa:

  • 1 jalapeño
  • tomato
  • ½ onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp cilantro
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Shrimp:

  • ½ lb shrimp
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Kinder's Woodfired Garlic Seasoning
  • Salt to taste

For the tacos:

  • Small Tortilla
  • Cheese
  • Thinly sliced lettuce
  • chopped onions
  • Salsa
  • Shrimp
  • Hidden Valley Southwest Chipotle Ranch
  • Whataburger Spicy Ketchup

Instructions
 

For the Salsa:

  • Grill the jalapeno, tomato, onions, and garlic until they're soft. I'm using a George Foreman Electric Grill. Remove from the grill and place in either a mortar and pestle or blender, crush until it resembles salsa. Add cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

For the Shrimp:

  • Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil, shrimp, and spices. Sauté for 5-8 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the shrimp are thoroughly cooked.

To assemble the tacos:

  • On the same shrimp skillet, add cheese to one side of your tortilla and press it flat against the skillet to melt it. Add your lettuce, chopped onions, salsa, shrimp, a drizzle of ranch and ketchup and you're done! Enjoy!
