Smoked Shrimp Tacos with Homemade Salsa

These soft tacos are bursting with flavors from the tanginess of the salsa to the smoky richness of the shrimp, you'll be craving these daily!

It’s taco time! These soft tacos are so good, you can easily eat about 5 of them in one sitting.

Start with the salsa

Grill the jalapeno, tomato, onions, and garlic until they’re soft. I’m using a George Foreman Electric Grill, but if you have a gas stove you can place a grill over it and do it that way too!

Remove from the grill and place in either a mortar and pestle or blender, crush until it resembles salsa. Add cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

On to the shrimp!

Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil, shrimp, and spices. Sauté for 5-8 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the shrimp are thoroughly cooked.

Let’s assemble!

On the same shrimp skillet, add cheese to one side of your tortilla and press it flat against the skillet to melt it.

Add your lettuce, chopped onions, salsa, shrimp, a drizzle of ranch and ketchup and you’re done!

Dip into some extra sauce or simply enjoy plain!
