Creamy Goat Cheese Pudding with a hint of Orange

This goat cheese pudding is easy to make and absolutely delectable— perfect for whenever you're craving something sweet. Creamy, velvety, and rich you can't go wrong with this simple dessert.

Is there anything better than pudding after a heavy meal? Or at 1am in the morning?  🤔  I don’t think so! With a subtle hint of orange and the tartness of goat cheese, this pudding is a favorite in my family and I can’t wait to share the recipe with you.

I’m convinced pudding is one of the seven wonders of the world. It’s the perfect combination of ‘light enough to devour after a heavy meal’ and ‘heavy enough to satisfy your sweet tooth’.

Goat cheese is one of my favorite items to bake with— it has a sharp, distinct taste that I love. Blend it with custard and you’re left with a flavor out of this world. Tart yet sweet, it’s impossible to stop at one serving. 🤤

We’re going to start with combining the milk, heavy cream, vanilla, honey and orange zest in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Once it begins to simmer, remove from the stove and set aside for about thirty minutes!

Onwards! In a medium bowl, whisk the two eggs with the two yolks, sugar and cornstarch. Slowly whisk in the warm milk mixture to the egg mixture.

Then, pour the contents back into the saucepan and bring to a boil over moderately high heat. You’re going to want to whisk it constantly so the custard doesn’t stick to the sides.

You’re almost done! Transfer the custard to a blender and add the goat cheese, butter, orange juice and salt. Blend until smooth. Pour the custard into your choice of mold— eight individual cups or one big bowl— whatever you like.

Refrigerate until chilled, about one hour. Top with blueberries, a light drizzle of honey, and serve!
