Okay, so I have to tell you about this creamy dessert because it’s seriously become one of my favorite go-to desserts lately. It’s crazy easy to make—like, you probably have everything you need in your kitchen right now—and yet it feels super fancy and indulgent. The texture is so silky and smooth, and that bright, fresh orange flavor just wakes up your taste buds in the best way.

I love making this when I want something sweet but light, especially after a big meal or when I’m just craving a little treat without going overboard. And serving it right in the orange shell? So cute. It looks effortlessly beautiful, like you went all out—even though it’s actually super simple. Honestly, once you try it this way, you’ll be looking for excuses to make it again.

To a medium sized pot over medium-high heat, stir together the heavy cream, orange juice, sugar, orange zest, and vanilla.

Bring to a simmer and remove from heat once it begins to thicken. Pour into cleaned orange halves or into a container of your choice.

Refrigerate and enjoy!

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste
